The Storyteller: 12 Apostles of Black music

Hosted by:

8CCC Radio

Alice Springs based recording artist, Storyteller delivers 12 episodes of the story behind Black Music.

The one hour segments look at music founders and innovators behind what is commonly referred to as Black Music, from Jazz, Funk, Reggae, Rhythm n Blues.

Each episode makes a case for one musician to have a seat at the table- for a last supper of sorts – as an apostle of Black music, with Storyteller providing a narrative complete with rare artist tracks and insights garnered from two decades in the music industry with a distinct British Caribbean background.

The episodes are an essential guide to understanding the story behind some of today’s modern beats. Question: Could we have modern  Hip-Hop without the 1974 Funky Drummer album from James Brown?
