I had an immigrant moment – must be because it is so green here around Alice Springs – focussing on some new folks sounds coming out of Britain.  A long way from the 24 verse dirges and sea shanties sung by someone with a digit shoved firmly in their right ear (I guess dirges are challenging to stay in tune for) at the Grimsby Folk Club in Northern England, which I used to frequent as a teenager.  We did have some great performers who did attend, including Vin Garbutt who is currently visiting Central Australia.
