Jeff loves the non-commercial nature of community radio and the voice it gives to people in our communities who are often ignored by commercial and mass-media broadcasters.
He currently hosts two shows on 8CCC.
The Pushie Power Show on Saturday’s from 4:30 – 5:00 pm and The Instrumental Show on Saturday’s from 5:00 – 6:00 pm.
The Pushie Power Show is a bicycle advocacy, news and culture program dedicated to promoting sustainable transport. The show features bike news from around the world as well as from Australia and here in Alice Springs.
The Instrumental Show is a one hour music show dedicated to instrumental music, which post 1980 has all but disappeared from commercial radio station playlists. Tune in to hear a giant range of instrumental hits and not so hits from genres including, surf, exotica, funk, ska, spy, afro beat, bollywood, bongo etc…
Originally from Canada, Jeff first got involved in community radio in 1996 at CJAM 91.5 FM in Windsor and Detroit. He was a music program volunteer and co-host for a punk rock/ska radio show called Earwax! as well as a spoken word host for a social justice program called Manufacturing Dissent.
