Each September Alice resonates with a glorious sonic landscape of sweet and sonorous sounds, as the Desert Song Festival brings ten days of unique and uplifting music to venues across town.

8CCC is excited to announce a new Community Partnership with Desert Song Festival, which sees choirs and musicians from our vibrant multicultural community come together with visitors to present a spectacular series of events showcasing the voice: the singer and the song.

From 9–18 September 2016, Aboriginal traditional and sacred music, African freedom songs, ballads, classical compositions, Caribbean folk music and a cappella will be celebrated in major concerts, chamber concerts, workshops and on outdoor stages. This year’s exciting headliner East Marries West, which exemplifies the union of Eastern and Western musical traditions, is set to electrify audiences and school groups, while the season-ending outdoor concert at Ormiston Gorge has become an absolutely not-to-be-missed event.
