Best of Womadelaide
Dashing between stages, dust mitigation, cycle-powered sewing machine creativity, organic doughnuts with blackcurrant jam, DJs, drums and fabulous grooves under the night sky, biodegradable beer glasses, Anangu stories, glitz and glam and what you can do with aluminum foil for the Samba Parade, organic lentil pies with spelt pastry, women dressed as horses, clapping till you can clap no more, walking home with a satisfied grin and sounds from all parts of the world …..
Tune in this Saturday to hear music from Natacha Atlas – world music royalty! – PNG’s own Aaron Choulai, Vada and Tatana Village Choir, ultra funky Denge Fever, fadista Dona Rosa and last but definitely not least – the Bedouin Jerry Can Band. Some of my highlights from this year’s Womadelaide Festival.
Quite a few Alicec Springs folks made the trek south for the festival. What was your highlight? Let us know and I’ll track down some of their music and play it for you.

Can’t wait to hear it. Had to work myself
