About Us
8CCC Community Radio Inc., National Winner of the NAB’s 2006 Volunteer Awards and the first FM radio station in Central Australia, has been broadcasting since 1981. Triple C provides niche programming, thereby serving audiences that are not catered for by mainstream media. It offers a real listening alternative to other stations in the region. 8CCC can be heard in: Alice Springs, population approximately 28000, located almost half way between Adelaide and Darwin; and Tennant Creek, population about 3000, remotely situated 505 km from Alice Springs and approximately 1,000 km from Darwin.
